In a surprise move, the Kenyan government has welcomed the decision of the governments of the United States of America and Canada to impose travel bans for leaders involved in killings and has asked them to reveal their names to the public
In a statement posted in the government communications website, the government has welcomed the decision by the US and Canadian government to bar leaders who participated in ethnic cleansing and crimes against humanity during the the post election but has encouraged them to let the world know who the said individuals are.
Government spokesman Alfred Mutua lauded the initiative terming it “commendable and which exhibits both the American and Canadian governments strong stands on crimes against humanity and genocide.”
The Statement by Mutua also challenged other nations such as United Kingdom, UN Nations and even Asian Nations to take similar action, so as to send a clear message that no one will be allowed to plan and unleash ethnic cleansing and genocide anywhere in the world.
Speaking on phone to Africa News, Mutua also asked the Dutch government to follow suit and “since we know some of this people have businesses in Holland their assets should also be frozen”
“The next move should not only be denying visa’s but returning families of the ‘warlords’ and making it impossible for them to bank and operate blood businesses,” Mutua quipped.
