Notes on upcoming Banjul AU Summit and Schedule of Activities

The July 2006 African Union Summit is almost upon us.
Attached are a few notes I gathered from colleagues, Ambassadors and policymakers on some of the issues to be discussed. Gaps still exist on the economic affairs and peace and security fronts.
Gambian colleagues working under the auspices of TANGO are working towards an autonomous programme that will comprehensively shadow the issues on the formal agenda. Attached is their working agenda with some of the other activities I am aware of. This calendar will change.
