African Union Panel reports on Sudan

Framework and Guidelines on Land Policy in Africa

(AU)--In 2006, the African Union Commission, the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa and the African Development Bank initiated a process for the development of a framework and guidelines for land policy and land reform in Africa with a view to strengthening land rights, enhancing productivity and securing livelihoods for the majority of the continent’s population.
