AU Accountability Profile
The One World Trust has released its 2007 Global Accountability Report in which it profiles the African Union: AU_accountability_profile.pdf. The findings are based on public information since the AU did not formally engage in the process.
“The One World Trust promotes education, training and research into the changes required within global organisations in order to make them answerable to the people they affect and ensure that international laws are strengthened and applied equally to all.”
Its Global Accountability Project “aims to generate wider commitment amongst global organisations to establish and adhere to common accountability principles and values in the relationship with the people they affect. The Global Accountability Report assesses the existence of key accountability principles in policies and management systems.”
