During the 13th ordinary session of the Executive Council of the African Union, which will be held in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt in June/July 2008, the election of new members of the African Committee of Experts on the Rights and Welfare of the Child, members of the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights and members of the Advisory Board on Corruption will take place. State parties are expected to submit their proposed candidates to the office of the legal counsel of the AU Commission before April 30. The theme of this June’s AU Summit is expected to be water and sanitation.
