It is on record that Anglo American and other mining monopolies have stolen trillions of dollars of wealth from Southern Africa (and continue to do so). Here are the funds not only for adequate water for all, but decent housing, jobs for all, not only for SA but for the entire Southern Africa. The ANC ignores this corruption and only symbolically targets some small fish fighting over the crumbs. Even then, the ANC itself had a recommendation in 2012 already that the corrupt water tenderpreneurs would be arrested. Now these officials are recalled and will probably be recycled elsewhere. Siphiwe Nyanda was supposed to also be brought to book but he has been recycled and is still serving elsewhere.

We call for the formation of workers committees in communities, on the mines and at other workplaces. Let the demand for water for all be raised at the strike lines, in the communities- it is time that communities and workers on strike unite, just like the 2012 miners strike.

The demand remains for the expropriation of Anglo American and other monopolies, without compensation, to be placed under workers control. The EFF, ANC, the Cosatu or Amcu leaders and others will not bring freedom for the masses; only revolutionary mass action will liberate us.
