The international campaign to improve access to treatment for people living with HIV/AIDS has seen some recent successes. But the battle is not yet won. The Trade Union Congress (TUC) has joined Action for Southern Africa (ACTSA) in a new campaign phase to lobby the British government to secure more assistance in the battle against AIDS through the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, which was set up in 2001.
