Youth and Students from different parts of the world will congregate in Nairobi between 9th and 13th June 2003 at the II International Youth and Students Conference on HIVAIDS (IYSCA). The Conference will bring together youth and student-based CBOs, researchers, NGOs and Associations, Donors, Governments, Academic institutions and the corporate sector.

Youth and Students from different parts of the world will congregate in Nairobi
between 9th and 13th June 2003 at the II International Youth and Students
Conference on HIVAIDS (IYSCA). The Conference will bring together youth and
student-based CBOs, researchers, NGOs and Associations, Donors, Governments,
Academic institutions and the corporate sector.

The Conference will focus on the impact of HIV/AIDS on the youth population,
evaluate past interventions and come up with a proactive multisectoral action
plan. IYSCA is an initiative by youth, seeking to safeguard the future. It is
expected that the cross-country learning that will take place will lead to the
replication of best practice to suit country-specific circumstances. Contact

Conference - A Global Forum on Peacebuilding and Conflict Management
Practices in Uganda
The Forum will bring together all civil society institutions in, and
outside, Uganda to share experiences and practices in conflict management
and peacebuilding within the Great Lakes Region. It will provide an
opportunity to convene disparate civil society organizations to strategize
for future action and to influence peace agendas. Among the expected
outcomes is a common position by civil society, including international
organizations and governments on coordination and harmonization of
peacebuilding strategies in Uganda, the Great Lakes, and other regions.
