Corporate Services Co- ordinator

The Charities Aid Foundation Southern Africa (CAF) is looking to appoint a
Co-ordinator for the Corporate Services Programme. CAF Southern Africa is a non-profit organisation whose aim is to increase the flow of funds to the NPO sector in Southern Africa and is part of the International CAF network.
The Corporate Services Programme is a new and exciting initiative that works
with the business sector to promote corporate social investment by enabling
company employees to become involved in giving of their time and money to charity.

The role of the Co-ordinator will be to work with the Corporate Services Manager to both maintain and build new relationships with companies whose employees are participating in the programme. The Co-ordinator will also work with NPOs who are either interested or currently benefiting from the
programme.

Core Activities:
· Manage and maintain relationships with companies who are currently using
the programme. This will include promotion and marketing of the programme.
· Recruit new companies to join the programme and assist them in the design
and implementation of appropriate schemes.
· Liase with and assist NPOs who are currently benefiting or who wish to
become part of the scheme. This will include some training.
· Co-ordination of financial payments to beneficiaries.
· Assist in promoting a culture of volunteerism and philanthropy in South
Africa.

Key Competencies:
· A high degree of initiative and ability to work unsupervised
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Knowledge of the NGO Sector particularly in the fields of grantmaking or
fundraising
· Proven project management skills including some financial management
experience
· Excellent networking skills
· An understanding of the corporate environment would be an advantage in
particular corporate social investment
· Degree or related qualification
· Minimum 3 – 6 years work experience

The post will be based in Johannesburg but the incumbent will be expected to
travel. The salary package will be competitive and will include benefits.
