PURPOSE OF THE POST
· This post is developing African Children's Development project of AWAD.

· Organise and facilitate the children's activities, advocate on their
behalf, provide encouragement and support to children in the Network of
African women's self-help groups. Provide advice and practical support to
African women and African men groups and other people /organisations working
with African children.

· Develop African cultural understanding training package to be used for
training of other organisations or bodies working with African children.

· To be responsible for supporting African groups working with African
children in monitoring and evaluating their projects and activities.

VERY IMPORTANT:
· We need someone with experience of African children, diverse African
cultural ways of life, and a clear understanding of African children's issues
in this environment.
Must be someone happy to work as a family member of AWAD, tolerant,
sympathetic, considerate and genuine to the cause of African children.

· Must be someone able to communicate and work constructively with a range of
people, organisations and backgrounds, polite and understand children
protection policies, monitoring and evaluation system.

· Must be someone who is a self-motivated, honest, respectful and a
determined community leader with happy disposition to add quality to existing
work of AWAD, especially in areas of children's development.
