ILI - Uganda is a capacity building institution providing training to African
professionals in finance, management, law and governance. Through our
affiliation with the International Law Institute in Washington D. C., we aim to
provide Government officials, private executives, lawyers, policymakers and
activists across sub-Saharan Africa with the skills to form sound policies to
lead their countries towards economic expansion, independent self-governance and
participation in the global economy.

Since its inception in 1997, ILI - Uganda has trained over 1,800 professionals
in the region. Seminars are lead by distinguished faculty from the United
States, Europe and Africa, applying theoretical understanding of the subject
matter and years of practical experience. Instruction is provided through a
uniquely African lens

Intended Audience

This seminar is intended for economic and public policy makers, human rights
activists, civil society and local admininstration leaders and Members and staff
of Parliaments.

Course Objectives

To raise awarness and engender positive attitudes about the role of civil
society and its relationship with local government with a view of advancing good
governance in a decentralised framework.
