Job Description and qualifications:

IRC is seeking experienced development professionals to work in IRC country
programs undergoing the transition from relief to development. IRC recently
established the Post Conflict Development Initiative (PCDI) to formalize IRC
in the field of post conflict and relief to development transitions. To
build our institutional capacity in this area, IRC is addressing staffing,
programming, project design, and performance measurement challenges. IRC is
currently gathering resumes and CVs of individuals who are interested in
being included on a PCDI candidate roster. This recruitment drive is part of
IRC's strategy to build a pool of expertise in anticipation of upcoming
opportunities IRC has targeted.
IRC seeks individuals interested in both long-term and short-term
opportunities, with expertise and experience in the following areas: Civil
society, community development; Institutional strengthening and capacity
building; Public administration, local government; Training; Small business
services, business associations; Agricultural market development; Food
security; Reintegration, reconstruction and rehabilitation; Conflict
resolution; Property rights; Human rights and protection; Gender based
violence (GBV); Grants program design, management and performance
measurement; Monitoring and evaluation. Sectoral experience in IRC's core
areas is also preferred: Health; Water and sanitation; Education; Child
survival.
