On 23 January 2008, at 0400 hours, plain clothed police officers from Harare Central police station, Law and Order section raided the home of the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) president Morgan Tsangirai and arrested him. He was interrogated for more than four hours before being released at around 0800 hours.
