The DBSA Advisory Unit and Knowledge Facilitation Centre invites you to a viewing and discussion session on the movie ‘Testing Hope: Grade 12 in the New South Africa’, a documentary film by Molly Blank.
The movie follows the lives, circumstances, hopes and realities of four grade 12 students atOscar Mpetha High School in Nyanga Cape Town.
The viewing will be followed by a discussion led by Prof Jonathan Jansen (Wits) on:
· What is the role of education in South Africa?
· How is the country doing?
· What can be done to improve education outcomes?
