The Project Officer will be responsible for writing progress reports and proposals for fundraising, facilitating production of training materials and publications, facilitating the implementation of program activities and production of materials. The Field Officer will be responsible for the provision of information to support the organisation 's education, research and advocacy programme.
A network of NGOs working in the democracy and good governance field in Zimbabwe is looking for persons to fill the following positions:
1. Project Officer (Harare based)
Specific Duties
Writing progress reports and proposal for fundraising, facilitating production of training materials and publications, facilitating the implementation of program activities and production of materials. Facilitating the identification of possible candidates for training, organising the training programs. Liasing with provincial taskforces and activity taskforces in the implementation of program activities.
Qualifications and Skills
The incumbent is required to be a strategic thinker with a first Degree in any
of the following disciplines: Social Sciences, Law or Business Studies, A
Masters Degree is an added advantage. Computer Literacy and familiarity
with widely used software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet and E-
mail. Five years senior management experience in development work or
human rights work.
2. FIELD OFFICER (Masvingo Based)
The incumbent will be responsible for the provision of information to support the organisation ‘s education, research and advocacy programme.
Specific Duties
Co-ordinating the organisation’s core activities in the provinces, facilitating recruitment and training of volunteers, information dissemination, compiling reports and progress updates, communicating and strengthening links between provincial structures and volunteers through networking and visits, office management and administration, handling finances and reporting to Head Office, undertaking research, and reporting on the progress of implementation of activity plans to the Head Office.
Qualifications and Skills
The incumbent is required to be a strategic thinker with a first Degree or Diploma in Social
Sciences. Computer Literacy and familiarity with widely used software such as Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, Internet and E- mail. Three years experience in human rights work. Clean class 4
Driver’s licence required.
Time frame and Conditions
The contract is for one year for both posts, starting as soon as possible and may be renewed.
