Centre for Domestic Violence Prevention (CEDOVIP)
This position is open to male candidates only. The holders responsibilities will include the design, implementation and monitoring of the organisation's new program focused on men and domestic violence.
CEDOVIP is a registered NGO working in Kawempe Division, Uganda, to promote women's rights.
This poisition is open to male applicants only.
Key responsibilities are:
. The design, implementation and monitoring of a new men's program on domestic violence.
. Facilitate learning processes for men on gender, violence and rights.
. Conduct activities in the community with men and other stakeholders.
. Work with a small team to develop and implement men's program . Provide training to other men who are working to prevent domestic violence.
. Write comprehensive and timely reports as required by the Center.
. Abide by all Center policies and administrative and financial systems.
Qualifications for position:
. At least three years NGO experience, preferably in human rights programming
. A holder of first degree in a relevant field
. At least 30 years of age
. Good knowledge and awareness of gender issues
. Fluent in Luganda and English
. Excellent writing skills and computer skills Key qualities and competencies
. Good verbal and written communication skills
. Comfortable in front of groups and enjoys working with people
. Documentation and report writing skills
. Result oriented
. Articulate, persuasive and convincing
. Creative and able to take initiative
. Able to learn quickly from experiences
. Good interpersonal skills
. Good at networking
