The role of young Africans in the Diaspora in developing Africa
Upcoming event in the UK for young Africans in the Diaspora. This event, planned by Global Youth Development Foundation, will take place in summer next year and we are currently inviting ideas and proposals from individuals and organisations that are concerned about the development of Africa.
The prime minister of Great Britain and other western leaders have recently shown interest in the development of Africa. Most of the leaders in Africa have in one way or the other tasted western education but yet the continent is the most deprived continent in the world. We still have a lot of Africans studying or doing business in western countries who are likely to return home to be part of the development and political process of their various countries.
Why is the continent still the most deprived if most of our leaders had the taste of western education?
How can we make our leaders accountable to the people?
What is hindering most of the African Elites in the Diaspora from returning home to contribute to the development of their various countries?
What is the future of the continent (AFRICA) when even those sponsored to study abroad refuse to return home to contribute their quota to the development process of their various countries? What about those who are sponsored fully to study at home who end up in western countries, how do we make them accountable?
