The Leadership Course in Gender and Reproductive Health

The Women's Health Project in the Wits School of Public Health invites
interested professionals to apply for admission into its three-week
residential Leadership Course in Gender and Reproductive Health, in
Johannesburg.
This course is for people who run health services, district managers
responsible for quality of care, trainers of health workers and managers of
service providers. The course is invaluable for people doing health systems
research or involved in advocacy for health policy or programmes.
Experts in the field take participants through six modules covering:
* The impact of social and economic inequality on health
* The concept of Sexual and Reproductive Health
* The concept of Rights including sexual and reproductive
rights
* Different research strategies as applied to reproductive
health
* The policy making and strategy planning process
* Tools for analysing, planning and transforming Health
Systems
Participants will gain new tools and insights to enhance their work and
understand how to mainstream gender in health services.
