Women exposed during childhood to physical, sexual or emotional abuse or to household dysfunction have an increased likelihood of engaging in risky sexual behavior later in life, according to "Adverse Childhood Experiences and Sexual Risk Behaviors in Women: A Retrospective Cohort Study".
