The Non Profit Partnership (NPP) is an NPO committed to supporting democratic transformation by strengthening the financial sustainability of the non-profit sector in South Africa. The NPP provides a range of creative services to NPO’s. These include providing information and advice, establishing income-generating services and lobbying for relevant legislative and financial policy changes.

We wish to appoint two persons to the following Cape Town-based
positions, with effect from the 1 August 2001, or as soon as possible
thereafter. Both are two-year contract positions within the NPO Tax
Communications & Support Services Programme. The programme is
being implemented in co-operation with USAID and CREA-SA.

Trainer
Duties will include:
* Developing training material for the programme
* Conducting workshops for NPO’s in all 9 provinces
* Preparing evaluation reports
* Doing presentations to stakeholders

Requirements:
* Knowledge of legislation affecting the NPO sector
* Excellent presentation skills
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Experience in training adults and familiarity with adult education and
training principles
* An understanding of the non-profit sector
* Self-motivated; must be able to work with minimum supervision
* Able to work well within a team
* Formal training qualification
* Computer literate
* Must be willing to travel
* A knowledge of three or more official languages
* Knowledge of the Taxation Laws Amendment Act No 30 of
2000 would be a definite advantage
* Knowledge of the NQF would be an advantage

Administrator / Receptionist

Duties will include:

* Setting up administration systems for the programme
* General administrative duties
* General reception duties
* Providing support where necessary to the broader team
* Liaison with Johannesburg office

Requirements:
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Computer literate
* An understanding of the non-profit sector
* Five to ten years administrative working experience
* Able to work well within a team
* Basic financial management
