You will lead and manage the Programme Funding and Support Team, who are
responsible for securing funding from institutional donors, reporting and
evaluating these funds in programme work and supporting our partners and Field

recommendations regarding Christian Aid's institutional donor fundraising

Regional Manager for West Africa

Your experience so far must involve at least 6 years in development work,

You will play a key role in the implementation of Christians Aid's £1.2million
print publishing programme. A very experienced writer and editor, you will be
responsible for monitoring editorial output and quality. You will work with
authors throughout the organisation to develop key corporate publications,
writing some yourself. You will have at least two years experience of working
at a strategic level, as you will work cross organisationally with audience
managers to achieve coherence, strategic advantage and maximum impact. You

Regional Manager for South America based in London

its programmes in Bolivia and Peru
The work includes strategic planning and day-to-day management of Christian

involves identifying, building and nurturing relationships with these partner
organisations and ensuring that communications and advocacy issues from the
region are integrated into Christian Aid's UK and Ireland work as appropriate.
You will have at least five years' experience of international development

Country Representative - Colombia based in Bogota

Christian Aid is looking for an experienced development professional to manage
and develop its field office and programme in Colombia.
The work involves strategic and day-to-day responsibility for programmes and
finances, working with and supporting partner organisations, and management of
field office staff. It also involves emergency and conflict related advocacy
and representional work, key to the programme strategy in such a complex and
politically sensitive situation.
You will need at least five years' experience of international development
work in Latin America and experience of working with organisations in Colombia
or other conflict-affected areas. You will also have experience of managing

Senior Policy Officer

As part of our Asia Team you will undertake policy and advocacy work as part
of Christian Aid's overall programme. You will focus on human rights,
conflict and inter-faith dialogue and gender, providing advice to programme
staff and lobbying government and other bodies on behalf of Christian Aid and
our partners. You must have experience of development issues, preferably in
Asia and with NGO's. You must demonstrate the ability to carry out your own
research and policy development projects and be able to present your findings

Aid Wales based at the national office in Cardiff. The Education Co-ordinator
will work at all levels within the formal education sector in Wales developing

Awareness within the informal education sector and amongst the churches. The

New Media Fundraiser

Christian Aid is looking to build the commercial arm of its online
commitments, develop new sources of revenue, manage commercial partnerships
and create a commercial supporter database.

You should be able to demonstrate creative thinking, have a flair for business
and an understanding of managing audiences online. You should be a self-

Network Systems Manager

You will provide project technical support to the Network Unit to upgrade the
existing network infrastructure and be involved in the resolution of helpdesk
calls related to network and server defaults.
You must have at least 3 years experience of support in WAN and LANs
environments and have knowledge of Windows NT/2000, Netware 4, Cisco IOS,
network security, Metaframe, Ipass, SQL server 2000 and Veritas Backup Exec.
You will have project management skills and this will include PRINCE2 or
similar methodology. You will also be certified in Network and IT systems
qualifications on Network Operating Systems, network products (including
switches, routers and servers) and TCP-IP protocols.
This position is to cover for maternity leave up to one year, and is expected
to be for 6 months.

support our relief and rehabilitation work. The job involves working closely
with both Christian Aid staff and local partner organisations supporting them
to develop and implement emergency programmes Candidates should have a good
understanding and experience in emergency programme management design and
implementation. They should have a good understanding of SPHERE and the
livelihoods approach to disaster response. Candidates must have at least 3
years relevant overseas experience. The successful candidate may spend up to 8

International Trusts and Foundations Research Officer
£23,154 per annum. Fixed term for 2 years
A strong team player with an excellent understanding of Institutional or Trust
fundraising, you will be responsible for researching untapped funding
opportunities amongst Foundations or Charitable Trusts (UK, European, North
American and others) and Institutional or Governmental Donors. You will have
considerable experience of database and web-based research and strong
presentation skills. You must be highly motivated, adept at sourcing
information and able to prioritise effectively. This post reports to the Head
of Programme Funding and is task-managed by the Head of Major Gifts in Central

Working with young people and youth leaders, you will inspire them to take
action on the issues of poverty and justice. With at least two years
experience in youth work, you will implement a planned programme of
activities, which range from resourcing, training and supporting youth leaders
and leading workshops on international development, to supporting a new
initiative in peer education within a church based HIV/AIDS project.
A confident communicator, you will also have an understanding of world
development issues, knowledge of church youth networks and be prepared to work
co-operatively within a small team. Knowledge and experience of peer education

to the Director of External Relations. The Department handles all aspects of

supporter care and their links to key audiences. This post requires a
confident and enthusiastic PA, with excellent literacy, numeracy,
organisational and communication skills. He or she must have strong inter-

Field Support Officer

You will provide administrative, financial and programme support for our
offices and programmes in Mali, Burkina Faso, Senegal and The Gambia. As you
will be a key contact between London and these offices, you will be able to
communicate well with colleagues at a distance and across cultures. With at
least two years general office, budget monitoring and financial analysis
experience, you will be able to set up financial and administrative systems,
analyse information and produce reports. You will also be able to manage a
demanding workload and competing priorities. Good IT skills including
spreadsheet and database and word processing are essential. Fluent written and
spoken French is required for this role. A keen interest in international

Supporter Database Services Assistant

Christian Aid's supporter database is the organisation's primary tool for
administering fundraising, supporter communications and the processing,
reporting and analysis of supporter activity. The Database Services Unit is a
small team developed to maximise potential in these areas. Tasks carried out
by the post-holder within the unit include querying the database to extract
data for a range of marketing, communication and information purposes;
providing training and support services to database users and assisting in the
development of the supporter database. If you can demonstrate excellent

dynamic individual who shares the organisation's commitment to exposing and
eradicating world poverty. You will be eager to develop a range of publishing
skills to effectively communicate Christian Aid's aims and concerns to
children, young people, teachers, youth leaders, and students.

You will be involved in researching, writing and developing a range of online
and print educational resources, seeing text through all stages of the
editorial process.
You will gain experience of working in a large international development
agency whilst supporting the Schools and Youth Team with specific
communications work.
The successful applicant will be educated to A-level or equivalent and will
possess good team-working and communication skills. You will be able to
demonstrate interest in and commitment to global development issues.
A permanent post cannot be guaranteed after the completion of this placement.
