WSSD: Summit fails to take account of ageing

The World Summit on Sustainable Development (WSSD) is failing to recognise that increasing numbers of those living in extreme poverty are older people. The WSSD calls poverty reduction "the greatest global challenge facing the world today and an indispensable requirement for sustainable development". It will re-state the goal of halving the proportion of people living in extreme poverty by 2015.
