A Civil Society Organisation (CSO) concerned with good local governance would like to engage a Finance Officer immediately. Reporting to the Chief Executive and working closely with the Finance Committee and the Management Committee, the Finance Officer shall be responsible for, amongst other duties, Developing budget proposals in liaison with the CEO and delegated officials; Identifying and developing strategies for financial assistance.
FINANCE OFFICER
A Civil Society Organization (CSO) concerned with good local governance would like to engage a Finance Officer immediately. Reporting to the Chief Executive and working closely with the Finance Committee and the Management Committee, the Finance Officer shall be responsible for
a) Developing budget proposals in liaison with the CEO and delegated officials
b) Identifying and developing strategies for financial assistance
c) Carrying out monthly budget performance reports
d) Creating clear, transparent and substantive financial policies
e) Carrying our quarterly budget performance analysis and reports to the CEO.
f) Monitoring the books in liaison with the Administrator
g) Spearheading consultative municipal budget workshops
h) Carrying out any other duties commensurate with the position.
The ideal incumbent should be in possession of the following
Ø Qualification in Accountancy
Ø Extensive knowledge of computerized systems
Ø Excellent communication skills
Ø Good writing and analytic skills
Ø Preparedness to work long hours
