Dear colleagues,
Articles are now being accepted for the October 2002 issue of the INASP
Newsletter.
The INASP Newsletter serves as a communication tool for all those interested
in the field of information, library and books development. It is published
three times a year and printed copies are distributed to more than 1600
libraries, publishers, NGOs, academic institutions, donor agencies, and
others worldwide. The Newsletter is also available free online at
www.inasp.info/newsletter.
Authors are invited to submit short articles (less than 600 words) on one or
more of the following:
* description of an activity or programme that aims to improve access to
relevant, reliable information for healthcare providers and/or biomedical
researchers in developing or emerging countries
* opinion and perspectives on priorities in health information for health
professionals in developing or emerging countries.
* feedback and commentary on the June 2002 INASP Newsletter Special Issue,
which focused on 'Creating and communicating local content'.
(The INASP Newsletter is not a biomedical journal and therefore does not
carry articles on health and biomedical research.)
Authors are encouraged to describe 'lessons learned' that would be of
interest to others working in information development. Contributions from
authors based in developing and emerging countries are particularly welcome.
We are limited by print space - a total of 4 pages are available for
health-related articles. If there is not enough room to publish all relevant
articles in print, authors will have the opportunity to distribute their
article on 'HIF-net at WHO'.
Please send your contribution to [email protected] by 23 August 2002.
Best wishes,
Neil
