Women in the Congo and other conflict torn regions in Africa experience rape and domestic violence as do their counterparts in Syria. Syrian women are suffering an epidemic of gender-related violence, both at home and in the countries where they have taken refuge.

The atrocious war in Syria has not spared children. In fact there is evidence indicating the regime and their opponents are targeting them. This touching story reveals the ugly reality of war that many children in conflict zones throughout Africa would easily relate to


The Syrian conflict has extended for over a year and there is no indication that it will soon end. Both sides are being superfluously equipped to kill each other. How is this a struggle for freedom by the Syrian people?
