The National Association of People Living With HIV/AIDS (NAPWA SA), a National NGO (with National Office based in Germiston) that coordinates the resources and needs of people living with HIV/AIDS, has the following vacancy:

1.OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

The suitable candidate will be responsible for the entire administrative
function of the National Office as well coordinating all administrative
matters for the Provincial offices. Furthermore he/she will handle the
switchboard and all incoming and outgoing correspondence.

Some of the activities to be undertaken include:

- Look into all office requirements i.e. stationery, other office material, etc;

- Make travel and accommodation arrangements when required;

- Arrange meetings and other activities;

- Handling the incoming and outgoing calls;

- Maintaining a correspondence register;

- Maintaining a good filing system and office administration ;

- Coordinate all administrative requirements for all departments.

- Set-up and maintain excellent standards of office administration & secretarial services when required

Requirements for this position include:
- Minimum Standard 10 and relevant post-matric qualification;

- A minimum of five years office administration experience, preferably in an NGO environment;

- Good telephone and reception conduct;

- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping will be an added advantage;

- Good interpersonal skills;

- Good communication skills - ability to speak African languages;

- Computer literacy - must be able to use e-mail system

The position is based in Germiston and it is a one-year contract with the possibility of renewal based on funding availability and performance.

Preference will be given to HIV positive individuals and who are open
about their status.
